There are no problems in your CBS.log - but I suspect I know what the problem is...

Please follow this tutorial and post an MGADiag report - then we can see what the problem is.

http://www.sevenforums.com/windows-updates-activation/234159-windows-genuine-activation-issue-posting-instructions.html

Ignore errors produced when clicking on the Copy button - they simply mean that the tool could not create the backup files for some reason. The data is still copied to the clipboard for pasting to your response.

Please also state the Version and Edition of Windows quoted on your COA sticker (if you have one) on the case of your machine (or inside the battery compartment), but do NOT quote the Key on the sticker!

If this started happening around 10 Dec - check and see if KB3004394 is installed. If it is, install KB3024777, which will remove the earlier update. reboot twice, and post a new MGADiag report.

If this started earlier...

This may simply be caused by a bad set of Intel Rapid Storage Technology drivers -

Installing the Intel Rapid Storage Drivers
try downloading and installing them from here - https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=2101&DwnldID=22194

(you want the iata_enu.exe download)

Once complete, please reboot twice, then post another MGADiag report.

Any other thoughts? I have tried many other versions of Intel Rapid Storage Drivers also ran:

Back to basics, I'm afraid...

Please follow the Windows Update Posting Instructions and post the requested data (this will gather much of the data I need, hopefully!)

If the file is too large (8MB compressed), remove the older CBSPersist cab files until the final file is below the limit - you can always post them separately after zipping them. (the forum doesn't allow the upload of bare CAB files, for a number of reasons)

Thank you for your assistance. I ran the SURT tool in the past few days. The results of the SFC Scan and error screen on the update are attached.

go to second page for CBS logs.

Hmmm - both SFC and CheckSUR appear clear.
in the background of the CBS.log, though are errors such as this...

The only times I've actually seen this error before, it was connected with KB3004394 being installed.

Please download the KB3024777 'patch' from Download Update for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 for x64-based Systems (KB3024777) from Official Microsoft Download Center and run it - what happens?
