Can't Delete Free Space in Disk Management

I kinda seriously need help here guys

I have 800mb free in my C drive...

i deleted my D and have 20 gb free space, but i cant delete it to make it an unallocated space (the delete partition option is greyed out) ..

im sorry if this is the wrong forum to post this on.....ive been working on this for 5 hours and im pissed right now..lol

Have you right clicked that Free Space to see if you get a "Delete" option in the drop-down, though if it's part of an Extended partition (more than one Logical) you may not be able to create it as unallocated space; post a snip for us to have a look at.

Before we make any specific recommendations will you please post a snip/screen-shot of the entire Windows disk management drive map with a full description as to which drive/partition is which, so we can see what you have going on as there may be a fairly simple way to resolve the situation.

In the Windows start menu right click computer and click manage, in the left pane of the "Computer Management" window that opens click disk management and post a maximized snip of that.

It is very helpful if we can all see what your Disk Management window looks like. Can you post a snip of it here?

The Windows Snipping Tool works fine. Start > Program > type: Snipping Tool.

when i try to delete the free space to make it into unallocated, it is greyed out

It's part of the larger Extended partition and you will not be able to delete the Free Space; but you would be able to use Option One of this tutorial to convert it to a Primary partition that can then be deleted and the C: can be extended into.

Then use ImgBurn to burn the ISO to a CD, at no greater than 4x speed with a verify; it was designed for use and works best from a CD rather than a DVD; then boot the created CD to make the changes, it doesn't take any input from the user to setup, just relax and let it load.

That's just great... my CD drive went bust about a week ago...and ill get the new one next week or something... so i guess ill just have to wait for another week to see if this works....
