cant delete office12 folder

i have uninstalled ms office 2007 ultimate from my Dell laptop
but i cant delete office12 folder from program files

it doesnt show anymore at add and remove programs section also
however i can still seem to open it from the shortcuts in the start menu but cant edit or type files in it.

i was completely remove it and do a fresh install again since i had a small problem with it b4
any ways i can delete dat folder?

edit: i wana install 2010 now thats y i wana completely remove dat folder if i can

Go ahead and delete Office12 folder. If you are having problems in that, just install 2010, it'll probably take care of that issue.

i cant seem to delete it still after i installed the beta version of 2010
it created the office14 folder and its works fine but it wont give me access to delete office12
keeps sayin its being used by some other program or wateva >.<

Try deleting in safe mode.

i tried deleting it in safe mode but there are files that can seem to allow me to delete even in that mode. in office12, all files regarding Groove wont allow me to delete .ddl files and in 1033 folder where the rest of groove files are thx btw for ur help anyone know another way to delete it? im hopin to not have to reformat my laptop

Force Delete Locked Or Undeletable Files And Folder In Windows 7

do you have Windows 7 32bit or 64 bit? for 32 bit i recommend Unlocker which the poster above me linked to, for 64 bit however you will need to use a different program, i use Lockhunter: LockHunter is a free 64/32 bit tool to delete files blocked by any processes

it finally got rid of it
it keep on restarting exploxer tho but all good now
time to install ms office 2010 pro beta lol

u can dowload and setup Your uninstaller 2010 to uninstall office Or u can download software unlocker 1.7

i have been using your installer 2009 to uninstall all my programs till now even all those updates for ms office 2007 but it was still there so i used unlocker and it worked
now hello ms office 2010 pro lol

Be very careful here...

Start/Run/type "regedit" - click "yes" in the UAC box

Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/

Find the Office folder and delete it. You should do the same thing in the HKEY_CURRENT_USER folder as well. This will completely remove office from your system. For best results, go to Add/Remove Programs and run the Uninstall for Office first.
