I was watching youtube videos when i unpluged my earbuds by accident. I pluged them back in but now i can only hear the background music or sounds but no voices.I tried unplugging and plugging back in but no dice. Sound is very choppy and sometimes i can hear the voices but are really quiet.

Are you sure that the clips are in ordinary 2ch stereo and not something like 5.1 Audio?

If I watch videos with 5.1 Audio on my PC, then part of the soundtrack is "missing" (e.g. voices, background sounds or music).

Go to Windows Control Panel>Sounds, click on the sound properties for your headphones/device, check the properties and see if the settings on the Advance tab are correct for you.
