can't install google chrome

i uninstall google chrome because i couldn't change my theme...but now it wont install no matter what i do...i try alternative (standalone) download as suggested but still wont install...it just says ON YOUR MARKS then the installation box disappear then a box pop up saying (INSTALLATION FAILED.THE GOOGLE CHROME INSTALLER FAILED TO START..what should i do plz...

try uninstalling the alternative, and then unstall chrome.

The alternative still wont install an i already uninstalled the google chrome...

I did..right now am using fire fox but it can't do somethings like chrome would..

from the Google product forums:
the problem lies with GoogleUpdate.exe, its either a bad download, corrupt file or whatnot

so the solution is to just delete Google Update (it's not necessary to delete registry or any other info)
follow these steps (it's just a copy paste from "Whoa! Google Chrome has crashed." - Chrome Help which is a related problem in my case)

# Go to Start menu > Run.
# Enter one of the following directories in the text field, depending on your operating system:

* Windows XP: %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\
* Windows Vista: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\

# Click OK.

once in that folder locate and delete `Update` Folder and you are done

now run the installer again and you will be able to install.

I have clear all the gooogle chrome document from my pc HD, so there's no document for google chrome to search for on the HD...Maybe i will have to reinstall my windows 7 os
