Can't open a folder in the same window

I have uninstalled the avast. then download IObit malware fighter. after I installed the antimalware software and run a quick scan. 4 threats are found and have been repaired. I have restarted the system but my problem is still the same: Cant Open a folder in the same window.

Now, I don't know what to do? what could be other factors that cause this problem? And another thing, as I notice I cant eject a removable device using the icon in the lower leftmost of the taskbar. (the small icon that looks like a usb port)

Help!!
