DO NOT CLICK ON THAT DIRECT DOWNLOAD !

If you want to try that software, then get it here;

PC Health Advisor - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com

Many sites which offer it are full of spyware and similar stuff.

Personally, I would advise you not to try it at all, these programs are largely useless, and many are dangerous.

Programs which "Fix" the registry are also to be avoided. It will not fix your installer problems.

If you read the reviews at the link I gave you above, then you will also see that the program is basically just an attempt to rip you off. Such programs are also known as "Scareware", they basically try to scare you into buying their useless products.

How do I reinstall those files (msihnd.dll, msiexec.exe & msi.dll) ?

System restore didn't work (I guess it wouldn't have.)

Note. I don't intend on buying any software to fix this.

System restore will only work if you go back to a date before you had the problems.

If you have a good backup image you can also use that.

The only other alternative is a clean re-install.

No problem. If you post things like that, then post a link to the download page of the site, and not a direct download link.

The site actually checked out "Clean" on VirusTotal;

VirusTotal - Free Online Virus, Malware and URL Scanner

But that does not mean the program is any good! :) The misleading descriptions and redirected links give it more the nature of a scam for the unwary.

Unfortunately, yes. You can backup your data first, but there is no point in trying to back up such a damaged system.

If you have a valid product code you can use any Windows Installation disc.

Well now I'm in deep trouble because I followed the instructions to this (How to Fix a Corrupted Windows Installer | eHow.com) and now I don't have msi.dll and other files.

Stupidly forgot to backup.

Anyone can help me on getting it back!?

Those instructions told you how to rename the files in question. To get them back, just rename them back using the same procedure, just remove "old" from filenames.

Also check out what Microsoft has to say about corrupt Installer now.

I FOUND the solution !!

the same problem with me befor two hours and i found the solutionbefore 2 minutes..

if you read the error message you will see it talking about the name of the label and the directory name
just try to move the EXE file you want to run to the desktop...it will run.

the reason is the Directory and the folders name... it doesn't accept \\ \\ / [ ] : | < > + ; = . ? "

see this article:
Error Message:

it seems there is a few more little problems i will fix it and publish the solution.
