Hi guys, I had 2x2gb 1066mhz memory, and I decided to add 2x1gb 667mhz memory, and it looks fine, everything boots up and is solid, I can see the 4 sticks in BIOS, but in computer propterties I only see 4.0gb installed :S:S Whats wrong? How do I fix this?

If you have Windows 7 32-bit, the max ram it will show is 4.0 GB :(

This link has a nice chart down the page with Physical Memory Limits

Your specs show you are running 32-bit Windows and have 6GB installed... Windows 32-bit caps at 4GB usable.

Also, even if you had the 64-bit version of Windows so you could use that 6GB of ram, you'd be better served with only running the 4GB of 1066 ram instead of mixing speeds (and I'll assume that probably they're mixed brands too?)

You should be, but you should run the ram of the same speed... In other words, I'd remove the 667MHz ram and only use the 1066MHz ram. If you want more than 4GB, then I'd get more 1066MHz ram.

My suggestion :)

The 1066MHz ram will default to the speed of the lowest rated module.

It is always better to run ram in matched pairs of the same brand. If you're going to run 4 sticks, then all of them should be of the same brand and rating.

In a store or online? If at a store, take it back and swap it out. Even if bought online, you'd probably be able to do it, but you'd obviously have to wait longer.

I really dont think it matters, cuz according to memory speed test(actions per seconds) Im getting the same score now as before. So I dont think that it is slowing me down. The 1066mhz only ran at 800mhz because of my CPU so maybe this isnt so bad.

You're board may not automatically clock the ram to the 1066MHz speed, so you'd have to do that in bios. My board does the same thing.

Doesnt matter what board Im using, Ive been trying to set the settings to 1:2:66 aka 1066mhz and then I get a black screen, both with 770 board and my new 785, so Im told that it is the CPU. But I ran a memtest and I got results for mem speed.

Because your board may not automatically clock the ram to the 1066MHz speed, you may have to sett ALL settings manually including voltage and timings. Your processor will work with 1066MHz ram. If you're not able to get it to work, then I'd think that it would be a limitation of that chipset first, rather than a problem with the cpu. You have an AM3 processor in an AM2+ board. And, to the best of my knowledge the 785 chipset is not an enthusiast designed chipset. You may have some options for overclocking and such, but probably not as robust as would be found in a 790X/GX/FX chipset.

ok, but I really dont care if I cant get 1066mhz :p Im running CODMW 2 in 1920x1080 with everything fully tuned and it looks perfect, so I dont need more speed from the memory.
But as I asked earlier, is that speed good? Or you know, good enough? The x mb/s

I've read from many people here and on other sites that you probably won't notice a major speed increase from 800MHz to 1066MHz. My current config is similar to yours in that I have my 1066MHz ram running at 800MHz. I'm content. So if you're content with your performance, the all is good! :D

Less than 5% and in most cases not even that much. Only way you would really see the difference is if you sit and run benchmarks all day.
