So I have defragged my pc and I have a 2tb hdd, I have split the partition before but then I recombined it because it was using too much, I tried shrinking the partition yesterday and it will not let me shrink any more than 7gigs, I have 600gb left on hdd empty, is there any way I can make it so I can shrink more? I am trying to install Manjaro linux.

I'm guessing you are using Windows Disk Management for the job.

Try something else, like Partition Wizard.

Hi!

There could be something else involved in here. You should also make sure that you are not trying to shrink on a space with files on it, or pagefile on it, or system files on it.

If another program is giving you trouble with shrinking the partition, defragment the drive first, then try again.

Cheers! :)
