Solved Can't Upgrade to Windows 10 (Facing Reserved Partition Error)

Hi, I have problem with upgrading my windows 7 to 10.

I am facing a Windows Reserved Partition Error - It has 30MB (ACTIVE,SYSTEM), C: is Boot. First time i see such weird configuration. I can't extend reserved partition any of tools. What should i do?

Any reason to downgrade to Win 10?

Win 10 creates and use more partitions than Win 7. How much free space you have on your SSD?

I have easily 150-180 GBs of storage free in my SSD.

Did you expand the Windows Reserved Partition from 30 M to 120M using Minitool Partition?

Your system reserved partition should be around 100MB, not sure why it's only 30, for Windows 10 (I think, this is going off by memory)

Also, I agree with Megahertz, why downgrade to that, when you have a perfectly fine OS known as 7? :3

I wanted to try out the new features of Windows 10. Since my system has enough specs to run Win 10, I thought to upgrade it.

Hey,

Most likely the error message “We couldn’t update the system reserved partition” is unique to Windows 7 (or Windows 7 systems that were upgraded to Windows 8 / 8.1) based computers when attempting to upgrade to Windows 10. You may also get the following error code: 0x800F0922

Since you're already saying that you have that 150 Gbs of free storage, you won't have to try the Partition Manager tool. I'll suggest you to do a fresh installation of Windows.

If you're windows is genuine, then you can activate it anyway. However, if you're using an unactivated copy, I'll suggest you try the following solutions -
