caps lock, alt, fn, and windows key do not work

my caps lock button, alt button, fn button and windows button do not work. I have an Hp pavilion m7 1015dx computer running windows 7. I have wanted to uninstall and reinstall the keyboard drive but but am worried that once i uninstall it the driver, my computer wont reinstall it.

Hi welcome to the forum

does the onscreen keyboard work for those keys? you can uninstall the keyboard driver from device manager and restart laptop. it will load the driver when windows load. but sounds like the keyboard is faulty. hook an external keyboard to it and see if that one works.
