Catalyst Control Center missing/Wont install

Hmm, I may have been incorrect about the installation detecting the card and installing the correct drivers. I've just run the install file but still had the 90s desktop. Checked device manager and it listed the VGA adapter.

Went to manually change the driver and the VGA driver was the only option. On request windows has updated the driver for me.

FIX!!!!!

Had the same problem! Went to AMD/ATI site and DL a tool called AMD Driver Autodetect. Here's the URL;
AMD Driver Autodetect
Used it and it came back with a driver called 'legacy' which contained all of the other components (Catalyst Control Center, Hydrovision, etc). Happy Days! Hope this works for you. The Legacy drivers are not accessible publicly and as far as I can tell, this is the only way to get it besides other, 3rd party sources. Why guess? This tool identifies your product's chipset and gets you what is needed.

Solarmystic, I owe you a drink. I have been having a problem similar to mansun37's issue (though stemming from an entirely different cause) and had tried almost a dozen other "fixes" (including posting my specific problem on other sites), but to no avail. This worked like a charm, though.

Thank you so much.
