Solved Change/move screen position

Hi,

How do I move the screen position vertically and horizontally? The buttons and menu on the actual screen doesn't have that option.

I have the AMD Radeon HD 6550D graphics.

Are you referring to changing the rotation of your screen? (e.g 90°, 180°, 270°)
Or moving your screen horizontally/vertically so that everything fits on the screen?

Could you also tell us if you are using a desktop computer or a laptop computer?

Yeah, moving it up and down, not rotate it.

It's a desktop.

Is the picture too large for the screen? That's a scaling issue which can be resolved fairly easily.

Its a bit unusual for a monitor not having an option for moving the screen vertically and horizontally. But there is a way to do it, from your graphics card.

Just to check, go into your monitor menu/settings and look for the image option. There should be an option to change H and V Position. If there is no option then follow these instructions:

Note: Only follow these steps if you are sure your monitor has no way of changing the position by accessing its menu/settings.


To move/adjust the screen manually from your graphics card:

1. Go to your AMD Radeon Graphics settings/Control panel (right click on desktop, there is usually an option for Graphics settings or a Control panel)
2. Go to the page "Adjust desktop size and position" or something along those lines.
3. Select your display then find the position option.
4. Adjust your screen to fit your monitor.

I actually don't have a AMD Radeon Graphics Card, so these instructions might not entirely accurate but some options/words should be similar.

I have a NVIDIA graphics card so my settings are a bit different.
