Changing default from Live mail to G mail.

I do a lot of scan to file from my brother printer it takes ages to find the scanned file on my system, to speed things up I would like to scan to email. when I do this it automatically goes to Windows mail, which I do not use. How can I change this so it goes to my G mail site?
Is this possible possible?

The scan program uses a Email client that is installed on your computer (Live Mail, Outlook, etc.) to scan to and Gmail is a web based.
