Solved changing OS from 32 bit to 64 bit.

woah... now youve confused me ! surely i have to use a disc burner to burn an iso to disk ? i downloaded it to my desktop. right clicked on it and then tried burning it !

That is correct. It was just the wording in your other post that Layback was trying to clarify.

Have you checked the size of your download?

This may or may not help, but if you right click on the file, select properties, do you see an unblock button?

This is due to not using the latest official installer with SP1 as you were advised repeatedly in Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7.

Going back to telling us now that retail Ultimate is an Upgrade: Is this a retail Upgrade installation disk (from XP or Vista) or an Anytime Upgrade (from lower version of Win7) which costs much less?

If it is Anytime Upgrade then it requires first installing the lower version of Win7 which it Upgraded.

but i stated all this weeks ago... my laptop came with vista pre installed. when windows 7 came out i bought the retail box . the ultimate version. black box. it is the upgrade version. there are 2 disks inside. 32 and 64 bit.

That sounds more like the full version if it has two discs.

Anyway, it's obvious that the disc you bought isn't going to work for the repair install, we know this much.

Have you had any luck with the .iso file you downloaded?

Where are you with that?

Fine, but I specifically suggested you use the latest official installer with SP1, that it would be needed to avoid having to manually install SP1, and for repairs like the one you are already doing.

Have you tried again running Option 3 regedit for Clean Install with a Upgrade Windows 7 Version to see if that error returns? I have never seen that happen before, our Activation expert Noel thinks it is corruption that has already n the OS. It may be due to manual install of SP1, in which case all of this could have been avoided had you followed our advice based on doing this thousands of times before.

i,m trying to download the iso file from ie again , as with chrome it fails...

Downloading the ISO is almost never a problem unless it is interrupted or loses connection.

Try Internet Explorer.

If that fails try Firefox, first adding Down Them All download manager which allows downloads to be started and stopped, downloaded in pieces: DownThemAll! :: Add-ons for Firefox - Mozilla Add-ons

The bottom of what page? We seem to be heading in a non productive direction at the moment, do you want to keep trying the repair install?

That will take some focus on getting the .iso burned to a disc, there are other ways to do this but we have to stay on track.
