Charging prob

Hey guys I just upgraded my dv600 to windows 7 and everything seems to be fine.Howevery I am expiriencing some problems with charging.when I put in the AC cord it moves the charging bar up and down like 4 times than it stops and states"plugged in, charging" and it takes forever to charge and even if it does it moves like 1% in 40 minutes
Is it a driver that I'm missing

That's not a problem with Windows 7. If you have to wiggle the cord to get it to charge, then that means that the charging port doesn't have good contact with the motherboard. You will need to have the laptop repaired, as there is nothing you can do unless you want to solder the port back on to the motherboard.

It's not the power supply because he can wiggle the cable connected to his laptop to get it working.

When I first plug it in it works perfectly showing the charging icon moving up and down than it stops suddenly and states charging but I don't think it really is cuz the bar stopped mocing

Have you looked for any bios updates? Here is a link to HP's support website:24/7 Online support for HP's Home and Home Office Products - HP Customer Care (United States - English)
Enter in your model number then click next. Now, click on drivers and downloads. Look for the section called "BIOS" and expand it. See if there is an update that fixes your problem.
