CHKDSK does not work

Hello, Im trying to run CHKDSK.
Upon restarting my notebook, its just a blackscreen and windows does not start up. After 30-40 mins it goes into sleep mode and when I go out of it, everything runs fine, but I dont think CHKDSK has run.
Any suggestions?

Try running Disk Check from System Recovery Options Command Line.

Next run SFC -SCANNOW Run in Command Prompt at Boot
