Solved CHKDSK /F halts on checking HD

Hi,
i try to run chkdsk /f on c: (about 650.000 files).
On one Sector it stops and Windows must be restarted.
S.M.A.R.T. is ok, no relocated Sectors. Disk is Western Digital 1 TB.

Maybe I need a Programm to read the whole Disk to realocate then defektive Sector...

better ideas?

I tried to defrag the disk with O&O Defrag. This Programm runs a chkdsk that stops due the error

Run the Windows defragmenter first, then perform the chkdsk later.

The disk check can be turned off in O&O defrag, but I would not use it. I tried it on w7 and it fouls it up badly.
Do as Golden suggested, it puts file where w7 needs them to be.

DataLiveGuard run without errors.
CHKDSK on 1 TB must be run... (about 3 Hours).

Bad idea, my Computer is placed at our living room, next to bed room.

Only the casevents, all other components are lownoise. I needed to install another one, because the Summer in Southern Bavaria was very hot.

The CHDSK from O&O Defrag 17 Professional (different to the Winows one) says:
"the index entry of a File is wrong".

How can I repair a Index entry respectivily clean an error from the MFT?
Sometimes my PC freezes and I must restet him.

I suspect you will have to let w7 chkdsk /f run to completion and see if that will fix it.
Also, did you ever urn the Windows defragger? Do so if not.

I have O&O Defrag installed.
It replaced the Windows Defrag
