Hi Snooks,

True, my dad told me to delete it, because he thinks it's also causing some problems on my computer.
Ignorantly, I downloaded it again because I needed some image mounter for my classes.
Thanks for that link!

Did you run the HD diagnostics/repair scan from HD maker, downloaded to burn to CD from the links I provided?

If your bad sectors/blocks are due to surface errors, the HD repair scan can fix them so that the HD can go on to live a full normal life. This is why it needs to be run whenever you have these abnormalities. I would run it now, report back the results, then run chkdsk again.

Once repaired, test again periodically to make sure the problem isn't reocurring or progressive. I have HD's that never show errors again, others that need minimal repair regularly, and others that are on their way out but I know it because I am testing them regularly to see.

I also run memtest86, chkdsk and full HD diag/Repair CD scan on every reinstall.

I tried burning them to a CD but they appeared as ISO still.... did I burn it correctly?
Is it ok to run these repairs through Ultra ISO? I am not quiet sure which program I should be running. There are quiet a few choices for both hard drives.

Burn the WD Data Lifeguard Diagnostics for CD ISO to CD using ImgBurn at 4x speed.

Then burn the Hitachi drive fitness test ISO file to CD also using ImgBurn. ImgBurn - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com

Boot the WD test with only the WD HD plugged in, same with Hitachi later. Run full scan at least once. Repeat if errors are found.

Back up your data first.

Thanks. I guess I'll be needing a external HDD.
I don't think I can only run my Hitachi HDD without my WD though...
Most of the files to run the PC is located in that disk..

It never hurts to scan your hard drives. I recently scanned 2 of mine, and found 1 has a few bad sectors, and the other had a couple minor problems. The one with the bad sectors gave me the same errors I see on here, but I've started backing up the data, preparing for the drive to give up and die.
