I opened my laptop today and automatically a check disk scan ran (I did not set a chkdsk schedule). I received a lot of error while scanning. Errors looked like this: deleting corrupt attribute record (128, ""). Then (I think) chkdsk deleted "pagefile.sys". After continueing the chkdsk, it seemed to be stuck on step 2 of 3. Then I tried booting into safe mode. Still, it seems to hang after loading CLASSPNP.SYS. I ran Windows startup repair. I restarted my laptop then skipped the check disk. I successfully managed to boot normally. I ran SFC /SCANNOW and it says the it didn't find any integrity violations (or something like that). I tried running chkdsk. It found errors but requested me to schedule it at reboot. I tried doing this (the third user post). But I can't find any entry with "wininit" source. After "windows error reporting", "winlogon" is next. I tried running CrystalDiskInfo and it says that the drive health status is good with the temperature of 45 degrees Celsius. What should I do? Is my hard disk about to die?
