Clean install is going really slow

I am currently installing windows and my installation is going extremely slow, I have no idea why. This usb key worked perfectly on my laptop and yet on my new computer it takes forever to reach the "starting windows" logo screen.

Current Operating System, pre-install
• No Current OS running

Current Hardware
• 1 Hard Drive
• Sata
• 1 Dvd Drive
• Sata
Athlon II X4 3.0 Ghz
9500GT
1TB Samsung Spinpoint
4GB of DDR3
Gigabyte 890UA motherboard


• Clean HD out of the box
• Have not preformatted the hard drive
Windows 7 installation details
• Windows 7 professional
• 64 bit
• I forgot where I got the install file from

Installation Media
• Using a memory stick, memory stick has worked before on my laptop
Other
• No overclocking, everything is running on stock

Nvm the problem has been fixed, went through with the slow install, and at the end everything is running fine . Though I still want to know why my install setup was so slow.

Could have been a hardware driver hanging
