From my understand of hard link migration; your trying to transfer files of old OS to new OS on old laptop? If this is the case, is the hardware of laptop compatible with windows 7? Are there drivers for the old hardware that are for windows 7?

Yes, this was a migration from XP SP3 to Win7 SP1. These drivers are all Win7 drivers. The hardware was checkes and is compatible with Win7. Thanks!
