Solved Combining JPG Files

I have lost a lot of weight and wanted to show it. I want to combine a Before Picture and an After Picture side by side. I have two JPG files. Is there anyway to digitally combine them into one file? I know I can put the two photos side by side and scan them, but I was just curious if it is possible to do the whole thing by combining two files?

you could Photoshop it, make a new picture, for the dimensions, find the dimensions of the images and double the widths (so both will fit on), and put them in side by side, simple! if you don't have photoshop, just stick them side-by side in a word document or something.
also, if you are in the same pose for both pics, you could consider making a morph, if you don't want to download software for that try this site:

If you are just doing this once or twice, just use Microsoft's native Paint.



Copy the originals somewhere safe first so that you don't save over top of them.

The video is extremely basic. There are lots more ways to play with Paint. You can search for better videos if you want.

The white area that you should see when you first open Paint is called the whiteboard. As indicated in the video, you can change the size of that area before adding other images. Once you get the photos arranged as you wish. Drag the edges of the whiteboard back to the side and bottom of the images. save the whole thing to a new file as a JPG or PNG or whatever.

I've done it quite a bit in photoshop.

It's easiest if the 2 pics happen to be the same dimensions. If not, you can crop them first to make them the same dimensions or worry about that after you've got the new file made.

You make the new blank file with a white background, then select, copy, and paste image one into the new blank file, aligning it one side. You can move it around with the right tool in Photoshop so it aligns perfectly. Then select, copy, and paste the second image into the other side of the blank file. Then flatten the image, recrop if necessary, and save the new file.

You can even overlap one pic over part of the other if you want to make the new image narrower.

Paint obviously will do the job if you want another option use free GIMP/ Paint.net and there are a few others that can do a lot more for free

Well, I never realized there might be so many options. == First, Thanks UsernameIssues on the Congrats. == I don't have PhotoShop and I am just doing this so that I can put a Before and After Shot on Facebook to show the world. Hacb's idea of putting them on a Word Doc seems like the simplest idea. Thanks guys, I appreciate all of your ideas.

Simple and free,,,open 2 images using 2 separate windows previews, stack the 2 picks side by side, press print screen, open paint and paste your screenshot into a new paint picture, save and your done.

I did not create the video that I posted in this thread. It was just something that I found via searching.

That said, I use CamStudio2.0 installed into the root (C:\CamStudio\). I've not spent much time with the newer versions of CamStudio.
