So, yeah, right now I'm running in safe mode. Which is good news for me considering I can now hopefully track the problem down to a few drivers.

But otherwise, when I start up my computer 'normally', I have less than 15 seconds after the desktop appears before I get a bsod.

The Dump file is attached. The perfmon health report is not because "An error occured while attempting to generate the report."
I suppose it doesn't work while in safe mode.

Is Windows 7 . . .
- Home Premium x64 - the original installed OS on the system? I first had win7 ultimate installed by my brother while I was away. I later found he didn't install a genuine version, so I downgraded to a legit, full retail home premium version.
- What is the age of system (hardware)?
Around a month
- What is the age of OS installation? About 4 days. However, this new version of windows 7 is most
likely not the cause of errors because I was getting Bsods before the change.

Hi,
For troubleshooting purpose, remove AVG then replace it with MSE.
http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/

Also test your Hardisk:
- Right click cmd.exe → run as admin → chkdsk /f /r
- WDC Data Lifeguard Diagnostic → EXTENDED TEST

Allright, I installed MSE.
WDCDLD gave me a pass on the extended test.

I couldn't find which driver you meant for me to upgrade.
And I'm still trying to run chkdsk, however I keep running into various problems.

Also, if it means anything, when I try to install service pack one, it keep failing.

Allright. Bumping this from awhile ago, but with new information.

64 bit windows 7 home premium full retail. Clean install just the other day.

So all I did since I reinstalled it was install all of windows updates,
Microsoft Security Essentials, and hardware software from the cd's. (and firefox)

A couple times I have recieved the error "the display driver has stopped responding and has been recovered" after the screen freezes and goes black for a second. So I installed the most recent (11.4) drivers for my sapphire 6870. But I couldn't imagine that fixes the BSOD.

I'm up for anything trying to fix this, excuse me if I'm a bit uninformed at times.

Prime95 got no errors or warnings after 3 hours and 122 tests. Cpu stayed around 45C the whole time.
Furmark ran equally as well.

Memtest gave four errors, all with address 00000100014. All the bad and good lines had a variation of: ffff _ fff
I had two more bsods since then as well, attached.

Memtest86 showed errors so you need to replace the bad RAM.
Also test all slot with a known good sticks to find out whether there is any bad mobo slot?

Well, I'll run the tests soon with each stick in each dimm (slow proccess...D:) however I've already Rma'd one set of ram. With the good set left, no errors were shown in memtest, but crashes were still happening.

Sorry if there's double post rules.

Well, I tested each stick in each dimm. No errors at all. Tested all sticks in all 4 dimms. No errors now. I fed memtest the only failing address that came up last time and in a few seconds there were 100 passes with no errors.

Maybe after running for awhile the memory and the northbridge needed a bit more voltage. I went to the bios and set the ram at 8-8-8-21. CR-2, voltage at 1.64.

Increased the HT voltage a bit as well as northbridge. Will report back if I get another bsod.

Alright...memtest was passing after 5 hours.
These are the last reports I'll upload here before going to the driver verifier thread.

The second most recent BSOD was when I turned my computer off. Only when it was at the end of shutting down did it give me the blue screen. Maybe there's a driver or something associated with this? I don't know.

The most recent one was when I was headed to report back here about when I was shutting down my computer. So maybe the driver isn't just associated with shutting down.

Just trying to speculate while being more or less uninformed at the same time.

I was instructed to post here, sorry if I'm digging up an old thread.
So, I'm on my phone right now, looking at my computer in safe mode without networking because sure enough it looks like driver verifier caught something. I'm not given enough time in normal mode to find anything before it crashes.

But nonetheless, where are the verifier reports saved to?

Driver Verifier's "reports" come in the form of BSODs, which will leave evidence in the form of event logs and memory dumps. The dumps are saved in C:\Windows\Minidump, but you don't need to worry about them as the jcgriff2 file collection app will automatically copy them to the report.

It looks like your TP-LINK USB wireless adapter is the cause here. I see the drivers are dated May 12, 2011, after the BSODs started. I suspect we're looking at two separate problems, one with RAM and the other with the wireless adapter. Try removing the adapter for now, and use the Realtek ethernet instead.

Oh alright, thanks.
I'm pretty sure the two most recent reports in the report should be the ones verifier generated.

I'm pretty sure i saw RTCore64.sys on the verifiers bsod. A google brought up problems with MSI afterburner. I went ahead and uninstalled that. It shouldn't be the problem since I was receiving problems before I did install it. But I'll run verifier soon again with that uninstalled.

Also, you suggested to stop using the Tp-Link usb wireless adapter and use the realtek one instead.
However my tp-link one is the only one I have.
I'm pretty sure I don't have a built in hardware wifi adapter or anything.

Also when I'm in safe mode w/ networking I haven't had any crashes, unless there are extra drivers not loaded in safe mode.

If I could get a new set of instructions, well... that would help haha...

Let's stick to the other thread. I've asked the Mods to move this back to the original thread; we can continue to use this thread until then.

You don't have an onboard wireless chip, but you have Realtek ethernet on your motherboard. Try using that for the time being.

Ok, if i go ahead and hook up the ethernet I'm gonna end up moving my router and modem, which is fine, but I'll try that tomorrow.
Until then, I found two other wireless adapters. A Netgear pci adapter and a Dell usb adapter.
Would trying to use one of these be a possible fix, or is the problem the fact I'm using wireless?

The wireless itself wouldn't be the cause, although I'll admit there is a small chance it's a USB issue. You can go ahead and give the other adapters a try though!

No luck with the old adapters. Driver aren't compatible or won't work. I'll update the Ethernet situation tomorrow.
Thanks for all the help so far everyone. Hope this works.
