Hi all, thanks for reading...

I have a 300GB WD VelociRapter, a few years old, I bought to use as my C: drive because of the extra RPM/speed(supposedly). I partitioned it in half and it worked fine until recently it started intermittently getting BootMgr missing errors on startup. After trying and failing to fix the problem directly, I decided to install a different boot drive to fix the problem.

The problem now is I cant get the VelociRapter to mount or show up at all--as internal SATA, external SATA, external USB. Not in Device Mgr, or Disk Management, nor a handful of free disk repair programs. It's getting it's 12v/5v from the internal power ribbon, not a faulty cable or port, I tried many. I hear it spinning up.

Is it dead? I'd really like to get my files off of it.

Thanks

Can you detect the drive in the BIOS ?

Sorry, slight update--After a restart, I now have it showing up. Disk Mgr wants to initialize it, original 2 partitions not showing.

Whats the best way to I recover it? Easeus and iCare Data Recovery dont show any recoverable files or any info for that matter from that volume (it's showing .51kB), so I'm thinking data recovery software isn't going to help.
