Computer restarting every time I lunch a game.

So basically I tried this with many games. For example when I ran Gmod and when the game moves me to the text menu the computer restarts. I did look into it online and there is something wrong with my charger. I bought a charger which is not Dell Brand( My Computers Brand) and I guess it doesn't supply the power it needs. However, when I am playing the game without the charger plugged in it works fine.

I would like to know if there is anyway to change some settings so I can fool my computer, so I can play the games with my charger on.

I don't want to buy a new charger because I might get a new computer this Christmas.

Try changing your power settings to save more energy while playing a game. Your laptop is probably overheating while the charger is plugged in because it freely uses more power. Make sure the fan vent is clear of dust.

If that doesn't help, the other likely problem is that your charger might not be a sufficient wattage. Newer games require chargers that are above 100w. If your charger is <100w, this could be the problem.
