Computer Restarting Without Warning

Hello,
My computer appears to restart without warning during processor intensive tasks, what occurs is a slight lagging which is seconds from a complete lockup in which either my system will refuse to respond and remain locked up until rebooted via cold boot (I cry inside every time I have to do that while i'm seeking to fix this issue.) or it will automatically reboot itself. I've cleaned out my case of dust and ran memory diagnostics coming back with no errors, i've run virus scans and rid myself of any malware/viruses (my last scan was clean) and i've given the inside of my case a little exploration. Unfortunately none of this work was enough to mend my issue, i'm hoping that someone can find something i'm not seeing in my event logs or my crash report and give me further insight on what to do to mend my issue. I am at this point unsure if this is software or hardware related, all of my prior digging has pointed to the GPU, the CPU, or the PSU, usually relating to capacitors so I do plan on investigating inside of my case again whenever I find the time.

Computer is about 2-3 years old, i've done a factory reset once to re-install windows 7, so my logs -should- date at most to last year.

At the time of my typing of this post my system is slowing down and appears to be stuttering/lagging out when I have a 2nd browser tab open, my mouse indicator is stuck as the "I" and is coloured oddly as opposed to being black or white. Closing my 2nd tab appears to have done nothing different, moving my mouse now i'm seeing stuttering/lagging out occurring.

Now, being that my computer is acting as if it is going to restart without warning at this point or that it is going to lock up on me, I will state that i've uploaded an event log as well as a dump from my most recent bluescreen, I have most of my system information on my profile. Thank you.

Welcome to Seven Forums Davey1612. I see there is a dmp file included, are you indeed getting Blue screens? Your event log did not indicate it logged that windows did not shut down correctly, which usually accompanies a freeze/shut down or hard reset. You might be better served posting in the BSOD forum and following the posting guidelines to get a thorough response.

Thank you, I have come to this forum frequently to fix issues, very very very useful.

My main concern is that this isn't quite a BSOD revolving issue, the BSODs I have are infrequent compared to the lockups and restarts I experience, though if it will get me answers before finals, I'll take it! :D

The BSOD analysis might point to the cause however, and there are hardware specialists who can pipe in if the BSOD team thinks it is necessary. You can certainly seek help in this forum as well, but the info needed to analyse a BSOD will serve anyone wanting to assist you as well ;)

This sounds wise, I need to rest as I have a class to get up for soon BUT I shall post in the BSOD section ASAP with the appropriate formats. I'm stuck like this for the night though. I'm not too sure if I can convey the needed info through my iPhone, so I'm stuck til morning. Darn. Thanks for the suggestion!
