You already have Microsoft Security Essentials installed but why McAfee?
Please uninstall McAfee and its components. They are known causes to blue
screens on computers.
McAfee Removal Tool

I and many members on our forum recommend Microsoft security essentials with
a great combination of Malware Bytes.

Microsoft Security Essentials - Free Antivirus for Windows
Malwarebytes - The Free version

Run a full scan with both (separately) once downloaded, installed and updated.

In addition, Run this tool and delete anything it finds:
Anti-rootkit utility TDSSKiller

Run the system file checker and reboot if integrity violations are found:
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html

Now run disk check for your hard disk for file system errors and bad sectors on it:
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/433-disk-check.html

Free up your start-up following these tutorials:
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1401-startup-programs-change.html
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorial...ation-conflicts-performing-clean-startup.html

Nothing except your antivirus is required at start-up

Do the above and let us know the results. We'll do more troubleshooting if required.

EDIT:
Well all of the recent ones were just about useless to my experience, Koolkat may be better with them:). Two of em about 5 days ago were blaming a PCI ports. I would suggest you check those, and try reaseating the graphics card. On top of this driver nvlddmkm.sys : nvidia graphic cards is not verifies and or missing a time stamp. So at the gigabyte site i suggest looking for graphics card update for your specific computer. If there isn't, one i don't think it would hurt to run this.

*Will need java to run*

Thanks Kookat77,

I just did all you recommended and all is fine now. About the McAfee, I bought the computer with free subscription but didn't trust it as the Microsoft one so I decided to have them both. Little did I know the mess I was getting myself into. I hope others learn from this.
Keep up the good work!!:D
