Computer speed so low according to configuration

I have ;

Core i7,500gb hard disk,4 gb ram and 1GB Nvidia Graphic card.

Its speed is very low according to its configuration.

How can I improve ?

Is there any problem in Window because it has registered Windows 7 home premium and Mcafee security with 1 windows partition(only C drive )

First off, remove Mcafee and put the free Microsoft Security Essentials on your computer. Second, go to start and type in msconfig and press enter. Go to the startup tab and uncheck everything except your antivirus.
