Solved confused about +12V1 & +12V2 ampheres

i got a seasonic psu and it indicates in the sticker two +12V's
#1: +12V1 has a 16 amp
#2: +12V2 has a 10 amp

so how much total ampheres do i get 26 amps?
im confused

cause i got a videocard that needs 18 amps.

They are just the +12v rails NFS totaled they are 26 amps all up. So therefore 310 watts total power on those two rails.

PS Should have said too that you may need to up the ante with the PSU mate that doesn't leave much leeway if the GPU takes that much.

what if i choose to plug in the +12V1 rail so it has 16 amps right. but it confuses my mind when manufacturer said my videocard needs atleast 18amps on +12V rail and 300watts psu.

i have geforce 7300LE and it says it consumes avg of 24 watts, so is it fine with my psu that you recently said i have 310 watts psu, or the problem will be the rails?

DELL optiplex 320 (psu info)

so i read about dell's website that its minitower has total of 280W psu
but i want to know its amps from 3.3V, 5V, and specially +12V rail

i want to know if my pcie geforce 7300LE can run on it.

a 7300LE will be fine with that, it will use both rails its has two as its more efficient for load balancing, that being said what else will it be powering since it may not cut it with all your other stuff plugged in, the HDD takes the 12v, 5v,and 3.3v rails also for instance. what model PSU is it?

http://ed.nt.ntnu.no/lib/exe/fetch.php/utstyr:dell_optiplex_320.pdf do you have the desktop or the minitower? and it should be printed on the physical psu if you have the unit on hand, or at least the model of it will be on it. the D 930 takes a pretty big chunk of your watts under load as it has a TDP of 95w ARK | Intel® Pentium® D Processor 930 (4M Cache, 3.00 GHz, 800 MHz FSB) that being said your probably fine unless your doing intensive gaming or rendering of something.

Yes mate as RVC says we need to know what brand PSU you have in and I still think you should up the ante and have about a 25% margin excess on the power requirements.

not sure if he means this one but probably not as i don't think dell uses seasonic.

Actually RVC I have had a look around and it would seem that Dell use a maker but have a Dell sticker on them so who that maker is is anyones guess but I have a site somewhere I found the other day that lists the PSU manufacturers I'll check through it.
There were some refs to replacing the original with Corsairs and Antecs etc which will fit the space Dell have in them.

i got the desktop, the narrower one than minitower. im just planning to use a gpu called Geforce 7300LE and it says it consumes less than 25watts.
the website on dell all it says has a total of 280watts for desktop

is playing some Online Games like dota, counter strike, league of legends, crossfire that extensive gaming? the requirements are not that high, its just exact to my pc

im planning to change my psu if dell's psu cant handle it. a seasonic with two +12V rails
BUT the problem is i found out that my mobo has a 1 slot for +12V rail. and i think the psu will not fit? in the desktop case cause its narrower than minitower

A screen shot of the case would be handy NFS and usually unless it is a low flat case like some Dells and Lenovo's can be PSU's are generally a standard size / fit.

Am not sure what you mean by a one slot for the 12v rail?? The board supply is usually through a 20 or 24 pin plug / socket on the board itself.

if it's like a old optiplex i have it will not if its not a low profile one. took some pics for reference (sorry for bad angle). you can see my psu is 275w.

dota and lol will stress it somewhat imo since its cpu heavy and counter strike will stress it with gpu, on low settings not to bad though. from your other thread it seems that you might want to just try it since its hard to get a low profile system like that (or you can if you don't care have a standard psu have cables feed into the optiplex through the back, not pretty but works) i am using a g 210 which at load consumes about 21w and a xfi xtreme gamer sound card in that one i posted in your other thread and it is a p D930 also with 4x1GB DDR2 800. my temps are quite hot though and it is just in use a HTPC.

Yep RVC I am with you and my old XP Dell has a PSU like the regular ones now but it would be nice for the OP to give us a shot of the case though.
