Corrupt or missing Windows System files. Having trouble repairing

Hi,



Some of my windows system files have been corrupted or are missing and everything I have tried hasn't worked.



I think the problem started when I used the registry cleaner on CCleaner, my windows installer stopped working and in the process of trying to fix it I think i may have made the problem worse.

Here are a few of the things I have tried



1. SFC scannow - Finds corrupted files but is unable to repair



2. Restore point - Fails and error message



3. Using windows CD upgrade option - Freezes and will not complete



4. Boot from CD to repair - Fail and error message



I honestly don't know where to go from here, I started backing up my files in case i have to do a clean install but I would prefer not to if I can avoid it.



Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello and welcome Baron mate you didn't mention a chkdsk if you have not run it try this
