Solved

I found the solution,I.....
Run,regedit,Click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Found ESET delete.
(I believe those are old files from oldest eset installations/unistallations)
And now ESS install and run fine.

I know it's quite an old post but upon upgrading my ESET NOD 4.2 to ESET NOD32 5, I experienced the same error.

I deleted the same registry key and reinstalled. I have now fixed my problem.

Also, just some additional info. When you do this, all your settings will revert to the default. I'm currently setting up my advanced settings right now.

I guess the only downside of this is the exclusions I have to add again.

But it fixed the problem nonetheless.

Edit - Nevermind what I just typed. It reset all my settings by my exclusions are intact.

Ah yes. I could also do that the next time around. Didn't think updating would cause any errors. But then again, I guess you can never be too sure. Thanks for the tip mate.
