Countdown to Win7 SP1

IM getting a little bored of petrossa's negative comments on every thread of late. .....yawns!! :sleepy:

Every positive is accompanied by a negative. If not, then we wouldn't have electricity, and life would be pretty boring.

And besides, I fail to see the negativity in his comment...

I think at this point, it is a sad state of affairs that businesses won't consider an OS until it is hit with the SP1 label. To me, that shows an incredible lack of testing, planning, and researching. For the record, I'm the IT Manager for my company, so I'm not just throwing insults.
hehehe I'm sure you guys are in a real rush to uninstall those evaluation copies.
They aren't evaluation copies...they are full retail copies that don't time out. They can't be used in a production environment, however, in accordance with your agreement to the terms of TechNet. I have to say, I'm honestly shocked at the amount of confusion there is over a program that's been around for well over a decade.

Semantics, possibly. They are RTMs/retail FOR evaluation. Anyone without a subscription, still has the availability to read the rules before taking a subscription.

TechNet Plus Subscriptions License Terms

There is a great deal of comment on the subject at the moment, including Technets own forums, for example:

The legality aspects of using MSDN/Technet subscription/license and the ugly truth

and I can see the demise, or heavy restriction of the issuing of subscriptions, coming soon.
