went i am muti task with firefox corel dvd the proccess goes to 100 percent is
there anyway to make the apps use less cpu or to improve the cpu
i have 4 proccess intel quad Q6600 2.40Ghz

No, there is not a way to make apps use less CPU, without telling Windows to use less cores.

Could you please post a screenshot of the Processes tab of Task Manager, when the CPU usage goes up so high? Be sure to sort the list by CPU, in the middle column.

how wait thanks anyway it seem to stop now gone down to constant 50 percent

also with firefox and other programs that may allow importing of plugins and such I would check your expansions/plugins/addons to the applications first.

i suggest using a different software then corel dvd as it may not be the most efficient program. also if u are using the program to create a dvd u are most likely converting video formats and depending on the format of conversion the codec encoder is set to use all cores to convert as fast as u can
