Yes I must apologize kbronski, I hope you don't take offence to me going off topic, I can get carried away at times.

Now back to topic, anyone else got any beard stories to share? Just kidding!

Well, this one time... Hahahahaha.

Yeah getting back on topic have you figured out if it was the MB or HD causing you laptop issue?

Oh and if you're talking school break, mine just started today... yay (d)

It was the motherboard. Tested out both old and new today, and it was the new that worked. Sigh, angst. I was hoping to be able to have my computer miraculously start working again and I'd be able to send the new mobo straight back to my seller and get a refund.. but nope.
So now I have to wait for my new fan & heatsink module to arrive (that was what started this whole ordeal in the first place, tearing apart my laptop to get the part number off my fan). Then I'll be cleaning off the old thermal compound from my CPU, applying the new compound that came today, and putting the new heatsink on. A little bit of a waiting game with everything, but it's not that big of a deal. I even rediscovered my love of having a desktop.


EDIT: And yes, I was talking about school break.

Speaking of laptops, If you let the beard grow out, it stops itching altogether. My wife likes mine too, it tickles he right.
