Create a new partition

My laptop has only one drive on the hard disk - C:
How can I split drive C: into C: & D:

Please help

In most cases, you can use the built-in Windows Disk Management. You would shrink C, which would generate some unoccupied space. Then you would convert the unoccupied space into a new partition. All with Windows Disk Management.

In some cases, you may have to use a third party tool such as Partition Wizard.

But try Disk Management first, using its menus and drop down lists.
