PROBLEM:
Crysis runs great. However, If I try to change any settings in the options menu, when I click accept the game just freezes. The PC doesn't freeze, JUST the game. When I page out and close the game and reopen it, sometimes the settings took effect, sometimes they didn't.

This happens EVERY time I click the accept button. Other than changing settings in the settings menu, the game works flawlessly. It's just a pain because I would like to change up some settings on my keyboard but after I change it and hit "accept" it just freezes and I have to restart crysis.

**It did NOT do this with Windows 7 Ultimate x64 RC.***

SPECS:
-I'm running Windows 7 Premium x64
-ATI 4850x2 Card in Crossfire (absolutely no scaling issues). this is not two seperate cards. It's one card with two GPUs on it.
-I'm opening crysis in 32 bit mode

Anyone have some ideas on what this could be?
Thanks

Should have went with NVidia. :P.

All kidding aside, are running a NoCD crack of any sort? Or are you running the game from the CD? How's your display driver? Latest one? Maybe try an older version...

On the first Crysis i had a similar problem, but with the gameplay.
"Runing,runing...the sound stars to shatter along with the video".
Two things helped:
Updating the drivers and lovering the sound quality

P.s.: i have a Radeon 3650 HD video card

I fixed the problem. I went into control panel and selected add remove programs. Then selected crysis and clicked uninstall. Worked like a charm! :)

...It was the only game I own that was giving problems and I don't play it that much anyway because I beat it like 3 times. I'm sure I'll install it again down the road and it will decide to work just fine.

I am having a very similar problem with Crysis. Initially, I could not even install the file. I resolved this my copying all the files on the disk to a folder on my PC and performing the install frim the folder. I ran the setup file as Administrator. So, that fixed the install issues.

Running the game seems file. However, like you, as soon as I make any change to the graphics settings the screen locks up.

If anyone has a solution (unstalling is not a solution, Yeah, I know, that's a joke), please post it here.

I want to try the driver I downloaded from Nvidia, but WIndows says that the Windows installed driver is the most current. So, I am a reluctent to overwrite the current driver with and one form Nvidia.

My machine:
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 CPU
Gigabyte GA-EP45T-UD3LR Motherboard
Nvidia 9800GTX 512 Vidio card
2 Gig DDR3 1333 OCZ Ram
Windows 7 Pro 64bit OEM version

I had the same issue with my steam downloaded version of crysis. It played okay, least in dx9, on the rc, directx10 was rocky. I'm still in the situation of having a dual boot with xp for my old incompatible games and other apps, so I played through on that. There's plenty of threads on the net about the menu crashing in windows7. I got fed up with it so stuck to xp. It's the only thing I boot to xp for lately.
