System Freeze: Only when I come back to computer

I am not sure if its a power issue yet but I am looking at placing an order for another PSU.

In the meantime it may be a windows issue no? Could it possibly be corruption with the second card?

After running a fresh windows having tons of issues getting the error:
cannot install required files the file may be corrupt or missing make sure all files required for installation are available and restart the installation
Error Code 0x80070017

looking into it it seems it's an AHCI issue any ideas?

EDIT: After a few hours it seems to have installed by setting drives to IDE and turning off AHCI

AHCI usually dont cause such an issue, at least with the newer motherboards. But if it works good at IDE mode, use it.

For any further issue, let us know :)

Uninstall Acronis, at least as a test.
Code:
Start Menu\Programs\Acronis\True Image
Start Menu\Programs\Acronis\True Image\Tools and Utilities
Start Menu\Programs\Acronis\True Image 2013 Plus Pack
Uninstall Marvell 91xx SATA 6G Controller too. Then follow Drivers - Clean Left over Files after Uninstalling to clean up the leftovers.

Update Renesas Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller Driver from RENESAS/NEC Drivers & Firmwares

Update Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920(UVC) Driver from Support + Downloads: HD Pro Webcam C920 - Logitech

Get rid of intel rapid storage. First uninstall it from Control Panel > Programs and Features. Then Uninstall the driver from device manager.

  1. Right click on "my computer" icon and click "manage" on the context menu.
  2. It will open the "computer management" window.
  3. Select "Device Manager" in the left pane, It will list all the existing devices up.
  4. Expand "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers" by clicking on the triangle in front of it.
  5. Select one Intel device item under it, right click, uninstall.
  6. Continue the process for all Intel items under "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers"
  7. Now restart the computer. At restart, windows will auto configure the appropriate native system driver.
I am thinking that the Razer Copperhead USB Mouse is old there? If so, first try update drivers from Razer Support ... if recent updates are not available, plan to use a new mouse.

Let us know the results.

I am in the process of uninstalling acronis(but I never have it running can this be the culprit) and I am not sure which Renesas USB 3.0 controller to use for a gigabyte x58-ud5.

For my board if I go raid should I just never install the micron ports?
Since now on other devices after uninstalling it says "Marvell 1xx Config ATA device
This device is not configured correctly. (Code 1)

To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.

Next thing I am attaching the new event logs, since the system was locked out when I came back.
- Screens black
- keyboard non functional.
- I am wondering if it is an issue of the computer trying to push graphics to the monitors.

For example I left at 8pm the only message is from when I got back 7 hrs later

"The previous system shutdown at 2:58:51 AM on ‎7/‎23/‎2013 was unexpected." and then

"The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly."

Then when I boot up I have these weird Event ID 10 WMI errors

"
Event filter with query "SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent WITHIN 60 WHERE TargetInstance ISA "Win32_Processor" AND TargetInstance.LoadPercentage > 99" could not be reactivated in namespace "//./root/CIMV2" because of error 0x80041003. Events cannot be delivered through this filter until the problem is corrected.
Uninstall Acronis, at least as a test.

Start Menu\Programs\Acronis\True Image
Start Menu\Programs\Acronis\True Image\Tools and Utilities
Start Menu\Programs\Acronis\True Image 2013 Plus Pack

Ok so last night I followed all of your steps, left came back this morning the computer was on. I started to do a file transfer and half way through the computer rebooted. I booted up again with resolution being set to 640x480/800x600 and when I was changing it, the computer again rebooted. I attached above the latest log.

It is a particular issue happens when the computer is idle, or goes to sleep. During the Sleep-Wake up power transition, a driver fails the power state. So I suggested you to update the Renesas USB 3.0 Host Controller Driver .... not sure what actually you have done.

I really appreciate your help, you are correct the mainboard had loaded my old saved bios on the last reboot, and I had issues immediately after. I reverted again to the default settings and I am going to let the system idle to see if it makes a difference

If you are at stock settings now (GPU, CPU, RAM), use the 349.20 WHQL. See how it goes with there. Then, upon problem, we may take the other steps.

But, first of all, we have to observe how it is running at stock settings, with the latest WHQL driver.

If you are at stock settings now (GPU, CPU, RAM), use the 349.20 WHQL. See how it goes with there. Then, upon problem, we may take the other steps.

But, first of all, we have to observe how it is running at stock settings, with the latest WHQL driver.

Hey I ran it at stock, non stock and the same issues occurred on my new windows install. It seems to have to deal with the monitors. When I turn them off only when running something graphics intensive (think game on idle like TF2 farming), video editing, the computer crashes.

Event viewer wise, I have turned off superfetch so we can ignore the readyboost errors.

Before closing out I get

Event filter with query "SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent WITHIN 60 WHERE TargetInstance ISA "Win32_Processor" AND TargetInstance.LoadPercentage > 99" could not be reactivated in namespace "//./root/CIMV2" because of error 0x80041003. Events cannot be delivered through this filter until the problem is corrected.
The description for Event ID 1 from source NvStreamSvc cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

NvStreamSvc
Unregistering VAD endpoint [0]

Now you should use another GPU to test the situation. If you have one that you can use for a couple of days, or in the family or with the friends, get it. Apply it and see if it is causing the same error there.

I sadly don't but I just booted to an old image to see if that is an issue. I ran sfc /scannow and I got
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.

Any ideas?

Doing random things will not help you to resolve the issue. The problem is with the GPU hardware apparently, so you need to concentrate there.

I am not so convinced it is a hardware issue, since the first issue was a power supply. Then the problem went away until I started benchmarking the system.

But I wonder if the issue may be part of the sfc /scannow logs were seeing. Any idea what or how to fix it?

Please download and save the CheckSUR tool from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947821
(you'll need to look in the details for Windows 7, downloading from the Microsoft Download Center)

Run it - The tool can take anywhere from 5 mins to a couple of hours to run (or 'Install') depending on how much it has to do, and may exit silently - it may appear to freeze for most of that time, but be patient.
The result is logged in the C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log file - and an archive …\checksur.persist.log file

Then zip the CheckSUR.log and upload it to your SkyDrive Public folder so I can take a look - post a link in your reply.

Will do that now this was the last dump I got from the shut down

Ok I downloaded it and get this error when I go to run it. I downloaded:

Error:

Any ideas?
