I don't know which to choose.

Low CAS at stock speed: Adata 16GB kit

Moderate CAS at OC speed: G.Skill 16GB kit

Price is not a factor (within reason).

I'm wondering if the specs for each kit are identical if both are running at the same speed?

Leaning towards the G.Skill kit, but still unsure.

I read somewhere that latency was nowhere near as important with ddr4 and that speed was.

Will see if I can find some more info to confirm this when I get home.

CAS latency goes up as frequency goes up. DDR3 1600MHz normal latency was 9 but there were kits that were 7 or 8 or 10 and the higher you go up in frequency the higher the timings. Testing by Anandtech back in the day showed almost no difference.......in fact, it was only a theoretical difference seen on paper. There are some applications that benefit from low CAS latency, I don't remember what they were, but I don't think any normal user would HAVE to have ultra low latency RAM.

Corsair has some DDR4 RAM in 2666MHz and 2800MHz kits with CAS latencies of 15 and 16......I'd check them out as well. If it were me, I'd sacrifice latency for frequency since you can always tighten up timings in the BIOS.
