I've seen reference on another thread that there is a Portable Supermium de-googled version. Could someone post a link. I've downloaded the portable version but it has gmail and other google links.
Thank you

I just recently installed superium in a VM and checked the option for ungoogled mode however I didn't notice a difference. Looking into it now I found a few script files in the programs directory. One is Supermium (Classic Ungoogled).cmd, the second is Supermium (Classic).cmd, and the third is Supermium (Ungoogled).cmd. I tried all 3 and I haven't noticed much difference in them. All have the you and google page in settings and extensions. The only difference seems to be how the home page is displayed as far as I can tell. So I don't know how to get true ungoogled mode and a google search didn't help either. It may not be truly ungoogled.

I think there may not be a portable un-googled version after a hunt for it last night. I've switched to Yandex search engine on the portable version and the obvious google links have disappeared. Out of interest, I installed the normal supermium yesterday and the option to select un-googled was greyed out, plus the icon didn't appear on the desk top or task bar so I uninstalled it. So far so good with the portable version as the only reason I wanted it is because I could not log onto two accounts with Brave, but I can with supermium portable, so job done really.

Google is like an octopus, its tentacles are everywhere. you use Firefox, you're somehow using google. and so on. I was curious about the Chrome Flex OS, and was in the process of installing it, but at that point, it forced me to create a Google account. no way. Besides, Linux is better anyway as an alternative to Windows. I veer away sharply from anything that smacks of Google. Yes, even You Tube, unless I absolutely need to watch a video on installing a gutter or something.

I just tried chromium 133 I found on Major Geeks. It says windows 7 but it won't run. Copying it to my work laptop (Windows 11) I ran it to find it isn't ungoogled either. It also has extensions, the google home page, and the google profile login. Therefore I don't think that chromium is truly ungoogled. Keep in mind it is developed by google. The only way I've found to not have google built in at all is to go with a custom build like Vivaldi, Brave, Opera, or Superium. I've experimented with all of them. I think I like Supermium and Opera the most. I like that Superium is backported for 7 and supposedly Vista or XP.
