Hello everyone, Merry Xmas!
I recently purchased 4GB (2x1GB) Dual channel OCZ Gold series sticks, great for overclocking. They are fantastic, the problem though, is that I already had a 2GB stick of Kingston, (not as good as each seperate stick of OCZ.) The thing is, I've been running all 3 sticks the last few days to give me the 6GB total (W7 64bit) but, this stops me from getting the dual channel from my OCZ sticks. So my question is, would you, A; Go for the 4GB Dual channel choice (which I can overclock) or B; Stick to the 6GB single channel?
Also, I currently have an AMD 64bit X2 4200+ (2.2Ghz) with 2x512KB caches, it's also an AM2. I've recently been playing Unreal Tournament 3, I can see that this is my bottle neck out of all my specs. (If you wish to look at my specs, please click on my profile.) But I've got a little bit of money left over and I saw a nice deal online, I can get a AMD 64bit X2 6000+ (3Ghz) with 2x1MB caches for £40! I think it's quite a deal. But my question is, do you think it would be a nice enough upgrade? In my opinion it would be a nice healthy upgrade but it would be nice to hear what you all have to say.
Good night.
