Defrag in windows 7

Talking about defragging is about as productive as talking about swap file sizes and locations, "how much RAM do I need", or AMD/Intel or Apple/PC.

Lots of opinions, lots of allegations, lots of heat, and little light or unequivocal documenation--and few if any minds changed. All of it wrapped in a nice obsessive/compulsive package and signifying next to nothing.

ignatzatsonic; I would tend to disagree.

Some people want to know if 7's defrag is as good as any freeware, if diskeeper is actually a step up. Or are the paid apps like O&O worth the green they hype themselves up to be. I don't see any 'heat' in the discussions. In a sence that might be SSDD but everyone has their favorite burn software too.

Tried many a defragmenter but found no match for Diskeeper EnterpriseServer 2010. Unfortunately, this is not a freeware.

The best part is "Diskeeper" is completely sanctioned/certified by Microsoft.
In fact, Diskeeper utilizes Windows' own Defragger..
So it is absolutely safe.
It replaces the Built-in Defrag in Windows.
When you press Defrag in Windows.. it will launch Diskeeper :)

I always thought that the Windows built-in Defragger was a cut down version of Diskeeper anyway.
