Delay in Mouse Activation

Did a reinstall of Win7. Only one glitch: my cordless Logitech USB mouse doesn't activate for about 1.5 minutes after the logon screen. A wired mouse works fine. I've tried removing drivers, reinstalling drivers, letting Windows do its own thing for drivers--same result. After about a minute and a half (whether I log on or not), Windows finds the mouse and away we go.

I've never seen this issue before. Any suggestions? For now, I just turn on the computer and then go get a drink before starting to work!

Welcome to SF, rchris.

Have you installed new batteries in your wireless mouse?

Is the wireless access point for the mouse close and unblocked?

Yes to both. Those were the first things I tried. Also tried the USB access point in various slots.

You need the Win 7 Logitech driver.
Since you didn't provide model # start here.
Support + Downloads

Select Win 7 and then 64bit when prompted.

It is not always included in Windows update. Usually just a generic driver from Windows.

Already tried the Logitech Win 7 driver and the generic--a couple of times! No go. What seems strange to me is that I've used this mouse on the same computer with previous Win 7 installs and no problems. Now, Windows wants to wait and find it after every bootup.
