Deleted partitions on hard drive, need help!

Okay, so I go to do a fresh install of Windows 7 on my machine as I have sveral times. I booted from the Win 7 cd and it came to the hard drive selection page. Here's where the trouble started. I have two identical 2TB hard drives and a 3TB drive in my machine. My gut told me to unhook my 2TB drive that I use for photos and music, the other 2TB is my data (C) drive. I said to myself, "Self, you have done this so many times, no problem". Well, problem. It deleted the partitions on my data drive. It never formatted the drive though. After the first reboot, my (C) drive booted and I knew that I was in a heap of trouble. Can anyone help me fix this without data loss??? I have over 10,000 photos and 700GB's worth of music on this drive. Thank you!

Download the free Partition Wizard Free download Magic Partition Manager Software, partition magic alternative, free partition magic, partition magic Windows 7 and server partition software - Partition Wizard Online

Then run the Partition Recovery Wizard. I prefer using the Partition Wizard boot CD. You must burn the .iso file to a disc.

When installing W7 disconnect all hard drives except the one your are installing to, this will insure the boot files are on the same drive as the OS.

Thank you for the response, Bumpkin. By running Partition Wizard, will that restore everything back to the way that it was, files and all? It had three partitions on the drive.

Do a quick scan of the whole drive.

In a few seconds it will show you what it has found.

Tick ALL the partitions you want to keep - don't forget to hit the Apply button.
