Alright so I have a dell inspiron m5010 and it blue screened once then I shut it down and it down and would let get onto it told me to do a disk check and there whats a problem with my hard disk. So I ran a memory diagnostics test and it gave me error code 2000-0151. I rebooted again and got to recovery options and did the dell emergency backup option were it puts everything on my hard drive to a folder and restores everything to factory settings. This now allowed me to sign in and use the computer perfectly fine BUT, it suddenly gave me a windows error message saying "Windows detected a hard disk problem" it then goes on to tell me to back things up. So i move onto the backup process and it fails very single time giving me the backup error 0x80070002. So I attempt to run a disk check again but when I schedule it and reboot it keeps canceling itself. So i did a check using command prompt as an admin and it told me "windows resource protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix them". So them concludes my little problem I have no idea what to do from here the hard drive is not making any weird noises which is always good. What should I do?

P.S I don't want to have to buy a new hard drive.

The message you get could mean hard disk corruption, bad sectors, a failing hard disk, Windows files or registry corruption, viruses, or memory problems. First, backup any important data that you are able to. Use the methods described in step 3 of http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/219487-clean-reinstall-factory-oem-windows-7-a.html#post1839164 and then do the following steps:
  • If you are overclocking any hardware, please stop.

  • Run Disk Check with both boxes checked for all HDDs and with Automatically fix file system errors checked for all SSDs. Post back your logs for the checks after finding them using http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/96938-check-disk-chkdsk-read-event-viewer-log.html (you may need to search for wininit instead of chkdsk).
For any drives that do not give the message:
Windows has checked the file system and found no problems
run disk check again as above. In other words, if it says:
Windows has made corrections to the file system
after running the disk check, run the disk check again.

  • Run all Basic tests with SeaTools: S.M.A.R.T. Check, Short Drive Self Test, Drive Information, Short Generic, and Long Generic. Run the tests for all HDDs.
  • If you have an SSD, make sure the following are up to date:
    • SSD firmware
    • BIOS Version
    • Chipset Drivers
    • Hard disk controller drivers/SATA drivers
    • If you have a Marvell IDE ATA/ATAPI device, make sure the drivers are up to date from the Intel site or Marvell site and not from your motherboard/vendor support site.

  • Check Windows for corruption. Run http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html up to three times to fix all errors with a restart in between each. Post back if it continues to show errors after a fourth run or if the first run comes back with no integrity violations. Use OPTION THREE of http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html to provide us with the sfcdetails.txt file if errors occur.

  • Download and install Malwarebytes, update it, do not start the free trial, and then run a full scan. Also run a full scan with your antivirus software installed on your system. If you do not have antivirus software installed, see the http://www.sevenforums.com/system-s...-system-security-combination.html#post1732627 for better security steps and scanning tools. Make sure to update the security software before running the full scan.

  • Run the boot version of Memtest86+ paying close attention to Parts 2 and 3 of the tutorial. Also, in case Memtest86+ misses anything and comes up with no errors, run the extended version of the Windows Memory Diagnostics Tool for at least five passes. These you may want to run overnight since they take a long time to complete (run them an hour before bed each of the next two nights and check before going to sleep that they are still running).
       Warning
Before you proceed with the following, answer these two questions: Are you still under warranty? Does your warranty allow you to open up the machine to check hardware? If you are unsure of the answers to these questions, contact your system manufacturer. :warn:WARNING: The steps that follow can void your warranty!!!

For Part 3: If You Have Errors: If you swap any memory components, follow these steps for ESD safety:
    1. Shut down and turn off your computer.
    2. Unplug all power supplies to the computer (AC Power then battery for laptops, AC power for desktops)
    3. Hold down the power button for 30 seconds to close the circuit and ensure all power drains from components.
    4. Make sure you are grounded by using proper grounding techniques, i.e. work on an anti-static workbench, anti-static desk, or an anti-static pad. Hold something metallic while touching it to the anti-static surface, or use an anti-static wristband to attach to the anti-static material while working. If you do not have an anti-static workbench, desk, or pad, you can use your computer tower/case by finding a metal hold in it, such as a drive bay.
Once these steps have been followed, it is safe to remove and replace components within your computer.

Alright I got a new problem it still starts up and lets me log on but when it shows me a black screen with that has that same failing hard disk warning. Also, I can get to the task manger screen and use the different options there.

P.S. the laptop is not under warranty anymore and I already too out the hard disk and put it back in it had no effect.

I followed the steps of the vista chkdsk troubleshooter thing and unfortunately they did not fix the chkdsk but after running sfc /scannow in I got this message after it told me the there was corrupt files that it could not fix it said "Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\logs\CBS\CBS.log". Would you like me find this log and post it. I have feeling im getting these errors from some corrupt file on the hard disk.

No need to post the log. Given the disk check problem, you will need to repair install, and that will fix corrupted system files.
I recommend that you http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/3413-repair-install.html Windows 7.

Steps 1-3 and 5-7 of http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/219487-clean-reinstall-factory-oem-windows-7-a.html#post1839164 will help you get installation media, backup any important files (just in case), and obtain your license keys for software (just in case) and the Windows license key (you will need this key).

You do not need to do the clean install. Please read my post a little more carefully. I have highlighted important aspects in bold:

So to be clear what I'm doing is downloading this official windows 7 iso, and putting it on a disk or flash device. Then backing up everything and running that audit thing. Then do I run the windows 7 iso.

You will probably need to put it on a disc. The flash device will not work for a repair install. Then yes, you backup everything and run the Software audit program. You should also make sure you can read your Windows 7 license sticker. The audit tool will not get the correct license key for your system; the key it finds cannot be used in a re-install of Windows 7.

Once you have the files backed up and your keys written down/saved, then you can put in your Windows 7 disc you burned and repair install Windows 7 while logged into Windows.
