Dell Inspiron N5110, Error code 2000-0151, Validation-15493

Hi,
My dell Laptop after diagnostics has showed following error -Error code 2000-0151, Validation-15493.
although on Dell it shows I need to replace Hard disk.
do I need to replace it how best can I save my data ?

Pls help

Yes, from other posts on the Dell forum and other sites about this error, the drive will need to be replaced.

You MAY be able to get data off of it, by installing it in an external USB drive, or by connecting it as a second drive in a PC system, but no guarantees that it will work. Depends on how the drive has failed.

This is a very good lesson backing up at a minimum user data to some external media. Backups are not for IF the drive will fail, but backups are for WHEN the drive fails.
