I have Windows 7 Ultimate x64 on my desktop. When I try to shutdown my Desktop, it restarts so I have to hold the power button to turn off my desktop. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

I have three systems listed in the specs area. My main desktop and my secondary desktop that was my previous build. The last one (in all the sections) is my Lenovo laptop.

Thanks for your interest in my machines! :)
Does it say this when it restarts?

found out why my computer restarts when I shut down. Turns out there is a FAN LED switch on my computer case. Turned the FAN LED off. Results: computer shuts down without restarting.

The only reason I could think of that the fan would affect it at all is, that it is probably drawing too much power from the power supply. Or, if the fan is connected to the motherboard, it is probably taking too much power from the supplied power which would make your motherboard act strange. Be sure to check if the fan is not drawing too much power, you don't want to burn a part of your hardware out for a measly fan.

The fan is not connected to the FAN LED. fan stays on when FAN LED light turns off. The case is: COOLER MASTER HAF X RC-942-KKN1 Black Steel/ Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case
