I doubt you'll find the learning curve too steep if you've come from Vista. The two are quite similar.

Personally I find that when I'm working on someone's PC with Vista installed, I find it a hell of a lot easier than XP. Like you I went Vista>7 and actually forgot how XP works for a while ;)

Yea I'm a huge fanboy of Vista but coming into Windows 7 is kinda hard since it doesn't look like Vista I guess you could say? Like the Control Panel doesn't have the Vista looking classic view and stuff... But! I do love how easy it is to update and install drivers on Windows 7, it's nothing like Vista 64 bit where it was a constant :banghead: which is why I picked up Windows 7 so I could just have the ease of installing drivers since I do that A LOT! :D But I think I'll get used to the look and feel of Windows 7 after a week or two. :p

Ah, I can help with that one ;)

When you open Control Panel, if you click the arrow to the right of Control Panel in the address bar, you can select "All Control Panel Items" from a drop down list. It's not exactly the same, but it's pretty close.

Agree though, I miss classic view.

Your very welcome :)

One last thing, as your new: (obligitary credit; this is actually Oli (osholt)'s guide but am using it with his permission)

To the top right of this post you will see 3 icons. An orange (+), a set of scales and a red and white warning triangle.

The orange (+) or blue (-) denotes whether a user is on or offline (orange = on, blue = off).

The scales are used to give rep points; click this button if someone has helped you significantly or solved your queries (only give this to posts that you think really deserve it).

The red and white warning triangle is used to denote either an abusive post OR to mark a thread as solved (just put solved in the box that comes up and the admins or moderators will mark it solved).

I'll go ahead and mark this as solved this time :)
