Win7, 32 bit, Samsung SSD (up to date in Magician).

After my last complete system reinstall, All my desktop icons refresh after Every reboot, following disabling Samsung Rapid Storage (used 1.5gig of memory, and 32 bit only allows 4gig), but gets better after 4 1hr restarts?-

I've run sfc /scannow, chkdsk, CCleaner, Vit Registry Fix, all as admin. Disabled WDD/ Hibernate, in services.msc.

Is there some setting I have to get Trusted by my AV, or...?

Thumbnails is a thing in your OS. Those things generate immedately. Like when you want to see preview of a picture in file icon instead clicking on it.

When the computer boots it goes through the start up procedure & when the Desktop opens it will refresh all the Icons. This is normal as it's resetting all the Icons for the user that has logged on. Mine does this as well & I am the only User & the Administrator & mine starts & goes straight to the Desktop.

I Goggled Best SSD settings..., and found the Solution!-
1. Changed to Performance, Instead of Balanced-
a. Advanced Power Options- Sleep/Hibernate Never, Turn off Hard Drives/ Never (was 20min).
2. Stopped Hibernate (CMD, Run as Admin...).
3. Stopped Indexing on All Hard Drives.

My System is Much faster, and Desktop Refreshes less often.
