Solved dialup automatically answer the phone

I have dial up connection. All of a suden my computer tries to answer the phone when someone tries to call me. I have a HP C7280 printer & fax machine and the automatic answer is not on.

When you say that you have the autoanswer not on?

the standard for modems is in the AT commands, Assuming that your computer modem can be accessed via a communications program. Send it an AT\s
should show the modem registers, I believe that ats0=0 should turn autoanswer off.
